Blond Brownies


Ingredients

2 ½ cups flour
2½ tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup margarine or butter
2¼ cups(1 lb.) brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped walnuts


Directions

Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder then set aside.

Melt butter in large sauce pan. Add brown sugar to melted butter and blend well. Remove from heat and cool for about 10 minutes.

Next add (one at a time) 4 eggs and beat well after each addition. Add dry ingredients. Mix well.

Add, and mix well, vanilla, chocolate morsels, and walnuts.

Spread mixture in greased pan (15x10).

Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Makes about 50 squares.
